This short post is intended as a self-reflection on how I want to write my future javascript. I have written javascript as it is. Then I tried writing it using Java (JSweet). It was a good and great experience. The pain was setting up the toolchain. The developers at JSweet are awesome, and it helped me sail the boat. It doesn’t change the fact that the build process is quite complex and fragile — it can break easily. I have painful irritations arising when I even think about it, and at the moment I am trying to ignore it.
